Surrounded on either side by The Moorlands and The Bleak Coves, the Black Swamps are the driest region of The Dark More. Waterways and great swamp-ponds still dot and cross the landscape, however. The Black Swamps are by far the most inhabited region within The Dark Moor -- both by natives of the swamp and certain other groups, alike. Strange things are known to happen within The Black Swamps and it is often best to ensure that one is never alone.
